Following on from 2014, much of the year 2015 has involved research in connection with presentations given at the travelling exhibition Memories in my Luggage – German migrants 1935-1956, directed by author Sabine Nielsen. The exhibition title refers to Nielsen’s book Ein bisschen Heimat im Gepäck (2014), a collection of literary portraits, biographies, and interviews with German migrants who settled in Australia. A number of individuals were displaced persons.
